The Darwin Triple Crown is the official Indigenous Round of the Supercars Championship, with 2026 marking its fifth consecutive year. Once again, the event delivered a powerful celebration of First Nations culture, with stunning Indigenous artwork proudly woven into race liveries across the grid. In recent years, many teams have continued running their Darwin liveries at the following Townsville 500, with the long journey between Darwin and their home race shops making it more practical to retain the striking designs for another round.

The Penrite Racing Mustangs arrived in Townsville sporting the striking Indigenous liveries first unveiled in Darwin, combining their iconic matte black and gold colour scheme with artwork designed by Tenielle McGuire from the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School, a long-time partner of Grove Racing. At the heart of the design is a meeting place representing the younger generation of Indigenous peoples, surrounded by concentric rings symbolising connection to culture. Animal tracks and flowing river systems weave throughout the artwork, creating a strong sense of movement while representing connection to Country.

The eye-catching livery was matched by impressive pace from Matt Payne, who stormed to victory in Race 21, continuing his strong 2026 campaign.
