Established in December 1980, in the aftermath of the infamous rock incident at the Bathurst 1000, Dick Johnson Racing has been breaking barriers ever since.

The team made its official debut in 1981 at Symmons Plains in Tasmania, competing in the Australian Touring Car Championship. With Dick Johnson behind the wheel of the iconic No. 17 Tru-Blu Ford Falcon XD, the team claimed a memorable victory.

That first win in 1981 set Johnson, wife Jillie, and their crew firmly on the path to becoming one of the most iconic and successful race teams in Australian motorsport.

Now, more than 40 years later in 2025, the team continues to make history, reaching a remarkable milestone—its 150th championship race win. This landmark victory was secured by star drivers Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood in the No. 38 Shell V-Power Racing Team Ford Mustang GT at the 2025 AirTouch 500 at The Bend.

The design incorporates DJR and Ford branding, along with special ‘150’ race numbers and markings on the doors and bonnet to commemorate the milestone. Additional details honour both Johnson and Kostecki/Hazelwood as the 1st and 150th race-winning drivers, with their respective race numbers on the lower rear windscreen and highlights across the boot lid.

This exclusive edition is a must-have for Dick Johnson Racing fans. Produced in high-quality sealed body die-cast, with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.

Each model will be released in strictly limited numbers and comes presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. An individually numbered backing board featuring the edition number is also included as part of the package and acts as the Certificate of Authenticity for the release.
