After finishing runner-up in the 2012 V8 Supercars Development Series, Scott Pye earned his long-awaited full-time debut in the main game with Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport at the 2013 Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. Behind the wheel of the bright yellow #80 Holden VF Commodore, backed by Ekol and Hog’s Breath Cafe, Pye entered the season as one of the category’s most promising young talents, ready to take the next step in his racing career.

Making his first start as a full-time V8 Supercars driver, Pye quickly settled into the highly competitive field and showed impressive maturity throughout the opening weekend. Competing against many of the sport’s biggest stars, he delivered a clean and consistent performance, avoiding trouble and steadily building confidence with every lap around the Adelaide street circuit.
